ShelfWatch: An Image Recognition App for Retail Shelf Management
ShelfWatch is an Android-based mobile application developed by ParallelDots Inc. designed for retail merchandisers and sales representatives. This state-of-the-art app is built on leading-edge image recognition algorithms that identify products on the retail shelf. The app allows the users to take a photo of the retail shelf and upload it to ParallelDots cloud, where it provides an actionable report on immediate corrective actions to be taken in the store.
ShelfWatch delivers four key performance indicators (KPIs) in the mobile report, including Share of Shelf, Out of Stock, Planogram Compliance, and Point of Sales Materials presence and compliance. The app integrates with route plans and offers questionnaires and surveys for a better understanding of user needs. ShelfWatch also offers offline blur and angle detection in photos, image stitching, and historical store data.
